Base Textiles celebrates new year with workers
On the occasion of the new year, Base Textiles Limited organised a day-long programme on its factory premises in the port city yesterday where the company's owners, employees and some 4,000 workers rejoiced.
Titled 'Base Festival', the programme was inaugurated by the chief guest M A Malek, editor of the daily Azadi.
A cultural programme was organised where local artistes as well as workers of the company performed.
Also, a camp for blood-donation was arranged there by Red Crescent Society, Chittagong unit.
Chairman of Base Textiles Ltd Shahdat Hossain presided over the inauguration ceremony while former CEO of Radio Today Shakil Manjur was present as the special guest.
