BCL celebrates anniversary
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), a student wing of Awami League, celebrated its 64th anniversary in Chittagong city, Chittagong University and Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) yesterday.
Our Chittagong correspondent reports: Three factions of BCL separately observed the anniversary in Chittagong city yesterday by cutting cakes and bringing out processions on foot, trucks and motorcycles.
One faction is loyal to Awami League city unit President and former city Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, one to Primary and Mass Education Minister Afsarul Amin and the last to AL leader AZM Nasir Uddin.
Our Chittagong University correspondent reports: The university unit BCL celebrated the anniversary with Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Anwarul Azim Arif cutting a cake around 1:30pm in front of CU administrative building and BCL activists bringing out a procession in the campus.
Our BAU correspondent reports: BAU unit BCL observed the anniversary by hoisting the national and AL flags at the BCL office premises on the campus, bringing out a procession which paraded the campus and holding a discussion.
