Two murdered in Rajshahi
Two people were killed in separate incidents in Rajshahi city and Bagmara upazila yesterday.
The deceased were Mainul Islam, 25, a battery-run auto-rickshaw driver and Tapan Kumar, 28, son of Sujit Kumar of the Kondapara village.
Police recovered the body of Mainul from Silinda area near Rajshahi City Cow Hat around 10.30am.
Police said Mainul was slaughtered and there were marks of stab injuries on his body.
Mainul's father Mohsin Islam said Mainul was missing since he went out of home with his auto-rickshaw on Tuesday afternoon.
Police found his auto-rickshaw but did not find any clue of the murder immediately.
In another incident, Tapan Kumar was hacked to death by his younger brother at Kondapara village in Bagmara upazila.
Tapan and his younger brother Ratan Kumar engaged in feud over a piece of land for long, police said.
Police said the murder occurred when Tapan went to the disputed land for some banana leaves.
