Four die in road crashes

Four people, including a woman, were killed and another was injured in separate road accidents in Jhenidah, Magura and Natore in last two days. Our Jhenidah correspondent reports: Two motorcyclists were killed when a speedy truck hit their motorcycle from behind and crashed them on Jhenidah-Magura highway in Porahati area of Sadar upazila on Thursday night. The deceased were Ekramul Haque, 32, son of Abdul Kobiraj, of Hasanhati village of Sadar upazila of Chuadanga, and Mizanur Rahman, 28, son of Sadek Mondal, of the same village. The bodies were sent to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. UNB from Magura adds: A woman was crashed under the wheels of a truck after falling off an auto rickshaw being hit by another auto rickshaw on Magura-Sripur road at Atharakhada in Sadar upazila yesterday. The deceased was identified as Jharna Begum, 50, of Parnanduali of the Sadar uapzila. Our Natore correspondent says: An injured motorcyclist was succumbed to his injuries at Rajshahi Medical Collage Hospital yesterday afternoon after a road accident. The deceased was Firoz Hossain, 30, son of Kalim Uddin, of village Nitainagar under Baraigram upazila in Natore. Police said the accident occurred when two motorbikes collided head-on on Rajapur-Jonail road at Darikhoir area under Baraigram upazila on Wednesday night that injured two motorcyclists. Another injured was admitted to a local clinic.
