Three held, laptop recovered
Police arrested three people on Friday night for their alleged involvement in snatching a laptop from an army soldier from the city's Pahartali area.
The arrested are Md Mizanur Rahman Bappi, 20, Jahirul Islam, 25, and Md Raju alias Baittya Raju, 18.
Police conducted a drive at Kazir Dighir Parh in the area and arrested the three. Later, based on their information they recovered the laptop from the area behind Joynagar Mosque.
Police said a gang of three to four muggers snatched the laptop, a mobile phone set and Tk 3,600 from Md Mamun Hossain, a soldier of Bangladesh army, on his way to Alangkar intersection at around 5:45am on Wednesday.
