Laskar RHD chief engr
Additional chief engineer Aminur Rahman Laskar has been appointed chief engineer of Roads and Highways Department (RHD) under the communications ministry.
He replaced superintendent engineer Abdul Quddus, whose tenure as chief engineer expired on January 10.
Laskar, also president of engineers' association of RHD, took over charge yesterday.
He said he would try to ensure the best use of limited resources to repair and maintain the roads and highways before the next rainy season.
On his first day in office, Laskar held a meeting with a team of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and discussed the projects funded by the bank.
