Hasina condoles loss of lives in Bandarban
Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina yesterday expressed deep shock at the death of president of Thanchi Sadar union unit of the party Ula Ching Marma and 16 others in a road accident at Bandarban on Saturday.
Deputy Office Secretary of Awami League Mrinal Kanti Das in a release said the premier in a message of condolence observed that the number of road accidents has increased in recent times causing death of many people and leaving many others crippled for lifelong.
Hasina asked drivers, owners, transport workers, law enforcing agencies and passengers to become careful and take necessary steps to check such fatal accidents.
She prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the members of the bereaved families.
