Man shot, mugged Tk 37,000
A gang of muggers shot a man and snatched away Tk 37,000 from him in the city yesterday.
The victim Mofazzal Karim Kishlu, 40, son of Abdul Malek of Senbag of Noakhali, is an accounts manager of a garment accessories company.
Halishahar police said a gang of four muggers snatched Tk 37,000 from Kishlu at a gun point on Excess Road adjacent to Golden Touch area at around 12:20pm. Later, they shot him in his arm as he tried to resist snatching mobile from him.
Bullet-hit Mofazzal was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
