‘30 lakh Adivasis speak mother tongues’
Around 30 lakh people of 75 indigenous communities in Bangladesh speak their mother languages. Of the 38 languages they use, five have their own alphabets other than Bangla, a recent survey reveals.
Research and Development Collective, a non-government organisation, disclosed the survey report at Dhaka Reporters Unity yesterday.
