The anti-liberation forces, who held on to the state power for 29 years, were out to make Bangladesh a state like Afghanistan, State Minister for Home Shamsul Hoque Tuku said yesterday. Through the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman and four national leaders, the forces tried to transform the country into a state of terrorism, he said. The minister also warned that the forces are still active and everybody should stay cautious about their activities. Tuku made the remarks while addressing the inaugural ceremony of newly built Patiya Police Station building in Patiya upazila, Chittagong.
