Reception to eight Indian teachers
The Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University yesterday accorded a reception to eight visiting teachers of Kala Bhavana, the art college of Paschimbanga's Visva-Bharati University.
Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique attended the function as the chief guest with the faculty's Dean Dr Emdadul Haque M Matlub Ali in the chair, says a press release.
Coordinator of Dhaka-Santiniketan Education Exchange Programme Prof Syed Abul Barok Alvi delivered the welcome spoke at the reception.
Janak Jhankar Narzary, professor at the history of art department at Kala Bhavana, and Kamal Dhar of sculpture department at the art college addressed the function.
Prof Arefin invited the Indian teachers to attend programmes to mark the International Mother Language Day to be observed February 21.
