Three drug peddlers held in Ctg
Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested three drug peddlers with 425 grammes of hemp in their possessions from Baish Mahalla graveyard area in the port city on Friday night.
The arrestees were identified as Mosammat Jasmin, 30, Ihsaq alias Parvez, 19, and Awal Hossain, 24.
Mehedi Hasan, public relation officer of DB in Chittagong, said on Friday night while some DB police were on regular duty in the area, the drug peddlers tried to flee the spot sensing the presence of the law enforcers which arouse their (police) suspicion.
The police chased the drug peddlers and detained them.
