'Work to solve Ctg water crisis'
Chittagong Awami League lawmaker Nurul Islam yesterday said he was working towards solving the drinking water problem in the port city.
He said this to journalists at a press conference held in a local restaurant marking the completion of three years of his tenure as Member of Parliament.
He set up tube wells in different areas under his constituency and also sat with Wasa to work for providing drinking water to the people, he added.
Briefing about the development in areas under his constituency, he said many roads have been constructed and expanded here.
“I will take initiative to construct more government schools and appoint teachers immediately,” he said, adding that he will work with the Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) to address the water logging problem in the port city.
AL leader Rezaul Karim and CCC ward councillors Jamshedul Alam and Gias Uddin were also present.
