Charge framing against Sylhet BNP chief Feb 28
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate yesterday set February 28 for framing charges against district BNP president M Ilyas Ali in five cases for vandalising vehicles and setting a passenger bus afire in the city on December 18 last year.
The incident occurred when a group of BNP workers took to the streets in protesting the death of a party activist in the capital allegedly in police hands that day.
An unidentified man was burnt to death on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Dakshin Surma area while about 40 sustained injuries that day while traffic in the city remained suspended for hours at different areas.
