Akim Uddin
Freedom fighter Akim Uddin passed away due to cardiac arrest at his home at Ghola village in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira around 9:30pm on Sunday. He was 66.
He left behind his wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives to mourn his death.
He was laid to rest with full state honour at his family graveyard in the village around 2:00pm yesterday.
Satkhira district Awami League President Engr Sheikh Mujibur Rahman MP and General Secretary Alhaj Nazrul Islam and Shyamnagar upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad Commander Debi Ranjan Mondal, among others, condoled his death and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
