Arrest, trial of killers demanded
Hundreds of journalists yesterday brought out a procession and held a rally at Shaheb Bazar in Rajshahi city demanding immediate arrest and trial to the killers of the journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi.
Two factions of Rajshahi Union of Journalists (RUJ), Television Journalists' Forum and Metropolitan Press Club participated in the programme.
Among others, the rally was addressed by the editors of local dailies Liakat Ali, Toshikul Islam Bokul, RUJ leaders Hasan Millat, Shibli Noman, Rejaul Karim Raju, the press club President Mahtab Uddin, journalist Mostafijur Rahman Khan Alam, and Rajshahi Rakkha Sangram Parishad General Secretary Jamat Khan.
