210 litres liquor seized, two held
Police arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 210 litres of locally made liquor in their possessions in the port city yesterday.
The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Khokon, 42, and Monu Mia, 55, of Motijharna area in the city, said the police.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police intercepted a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in front of Hotel Lords Inn near Nasirabad Boy's School at around 8:30am and seized three sacks each having 10 poly-packs of liquor worth about Tk 93 thousand from the possessions of the arrestees.
