Graphene, the miracle material!

Professor M Zahidul Haque, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhak
BBC called Graphene a 'miracle material'. Graphene is taken from graphite and it is composed of carbon atoms. Graphene is the strongest, thinnest, the most conductive material ever discovered. One million sheets of graphene on top of each other would be only 1 mm thick. Graphene is a good thermal and electric conductor and it has application in computer and other electronic gadgets manufacturing. It also has applications in medicine, energy and defence. Application of graphene in solar cell would increase efficiency and charge retaining period. In a nutshell, graphene will bring about a revolution in the field of electric and electronic technology.
