3 Wasa pump operators suspended
Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Wasa) yesterday provisionary suspended three pump operators on charges of negligence in performing their duties.
The suspended are Md Hajrat Ali and Md Anwar Ali, operators of the pump adjoining Agakhan School in Sector-4, under Zone-9 and trainee operator in Uttara 9/B Md Akbar Hossain, said a press release.
Wasa Chief Engineer SDM Qumrul Alam Chowdhury, during a sudden visit on March 30 night, found none of them on duty.
Their suspension will be effective from April 1.
