Call to ensure road safety
Teachers and students of political science department of Rajshahi University (RU) yesterday demanded effective steps to ensure road safety.
They placed the demand while addressing a condolence meeting on the death of a student of the university and her mother.
Earlier on April 7, the victims Sharmin Sultana Chhobi, 22, a master's final-year student of the department and her mother Fatema Begum, 45 were killed under the wheels of a bus in the city.
Prof M Khademul Islam, Prof M Kafil Uddin and Sharmin's classmate Purabi Akter spoke at the meeting.
