Man dies as train hits him in capital
A man was crushed under the wheels of a train yesterday afternoon at the capital's Malibagh level crossing while using cell phone.
The dead, Saimum Sayeed alias Sagar, 32, son of Dr Saidur Rahman, was a garments accessories supplier and lived at Ahmednagar in Mirpur.
Railway police (GRP) said while Sagar was using his cell phone and walking along the rail track around 1:45pm, he fell under the wheels of the Kamalapur-bound train and his body was split in two.
