Six eateries fined in Chittagong
A mobile court fined six eateries in Chittagong city Tk 1.45 lakh yesterday for preparing and serving dirty and unhygienic food.
Of the eateries, Fuska Haat and Juice Bar, Food Castle, Snoopy Chinese Hotel and Restaurant and Fantasy Food and Face Vita are situated in Agrabad, Nissan Foods and Factory is in Chhoto Pole and Chung King Foods and Factory in Dewanhat.
The fine was realised and deposited in the government treasury, says a press release.
District Executive Magistrate of Chittagong AKM Rejaur Rahman conducted the three-hour drive, assisted by Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution Chittagong Field Officer KM Mahbub Kabir and Rapid Action Battalion, from 11:30am.
