Nine CU students get scholarships
Nine students of Chittagong University (CU) of mathematics department were awarded with scholarships for their good results in examinations.
On the occasion, the department and AF Mujibur Rahman Foundation jointly organised a discussion at the Social Science Faculty Auditorium on Thursday morning.
CU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Anwarul Azim Arif was present as the chief guest while Science Faculty Dean and Mathematics Department Chairman Prof Dr Abul Kalam presided over the function.
The VC said late AF Mujibur Rahman, a meritorious student, obtained the first place in mathematics by breaking all the records.
In memory of the scholar, the foundation has been giving scholarships to meritorious students of different educational institutions of the country who secured good marks in mathematics.
