Man 'commits suicide' in Ctg
A man allegedly hanged himself in the port city on Saturday evening.
The deceased Masud Rana, 55, hailing from Rajagaon village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila, lived in Motijharna area of Lalkhan Bazar in the port city with his wife, two daughters and a son.
Quoting local people, police said Masud committed suicide at his own tea shop near his residence at around 6:15pm. His wife and younger daughter came to call him after a while. As they saw the shop closed from inside and did not get any response from him, they started shouting. Then local people broke open the door of the shop and found Masud hanging from the ceiling of the shop.
Locals informed the police.
Masud's son Farhad, 17, said his father was in debt and was very much tensed about getting his elder daughter married, who is a 1st year honours student of Government Women's College in Chittagong.
