'Bangladesh symbol of communal harmony'

President Zillur Rahman yesterday said Bangladesh is a unique symbol of communal harmony as the people of different communities live here together peacefully. He made the remark while addressing a reception for members of the Buddhist community at Bangabhaban marking the Buddha Purnima, the biggest religious festival of the Buddhists. Industries Minister Dilip Barua, State Minister for Religious Affairs Advocate Md Shahjahan Miah, principal of Cox's Bazar Ramu Sima Bihar Srimat Sathapriyo Mahathero, envoys of Japan, Vietnam and Bhutan and Sri Lanka and representatives of various international organisations and different professionals attended the reception.
