Seminar on laws, policies at CU
A seminar titled “Laws and policies on affirmative action in Bangladesh: Rhetoric and reality” organised by the Faculty of Laws was held at the Chittagong University (CU) yesterday.
CU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Md Anwarul Azim Arif addressed the seminar as the chief guest while the Pro-VC Prof Dr Md Alauddin and former VC of the university Professor Emeritus Dr Alamgir Muhammed Serajuddin spoke as special guests, said a press release.
Prof Md Jakir Hossain, dean of the faculty, presided over the seminar and Prof Dr Md Abdullah Al Faruk presented the keynote paper.
Meanwhile, farewell of the former students and freshers' reception of anthropology department was also held at the social science faculty auditorium yesterday.
