BNP rally foiled, 5 held in Ctg
Police foiled a procession of the BNP and arrested its five activists in front of the BNP office Nasiman Bhaban in the port city yesterday on charge of trying to create “an untoward situation.”
They are Mohammad Faruque, Alamgir, Mamun, Omar Faruk and Organisational Secretary of Chittagong Metropolitan unit of Sechchhashebak Dal SM Azad.
Chittagong Metropolitan unit of Sechchhashebak Dal, led by its General Secretary SK Khoda Totan, brought out a protest procession as part of the party's countrywide agitation programmes on several issues, sources said.
Assistant Commissioner of Kotwali zone Abdullah Al Mahmud said to avoid any unwanted situation police arrested them.
