800 Yaba tablets seized, one held
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a drug peddler and seized 800 pieces of Yaba tablets from his possession at Maricha village under Ukhia Police Station in Cox's Bazar on Tuesday night.
The arrestee was Jahir Alam, 35, hailing from Ukhia in Cox's Bazar district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-7 arrested him in the area at around 8:00pm and seized the Yaba tablets worth around Tk 3.20 lakh from his possession, said a press release.
