Two die as trains hit them in Tangail
Two people were crushed under trains in two separate incidents in the sadar and Kalihati upazilas on Tuesday night and yesterday morning.
One of the deceased was Momin Khan Rumu, 28, of Beltiabari village in sadar upazila.
A train ran over Momin at Gharinda Railway Station in the sadar upazila while he was getting down from a Khulna-bound running train, Chitra Express, at around 9:30pm on Tuesday, leaving him dead instantly.
In another incident, an unidentified elderly man was crushed under a Kolkata-bound train, Moitry Express, in Jokarchar area in Kalihati upazila when he was crossing the rail track at around 10:00am yesterday, killing him on the spot.
