Bakhtiar new Eastern varsity chair
Renowned Industrialist SM Bakhtiar Alam was elected chairman of the board of trustees of Eastern University, says a press release. Bakhtiar, founder treasurer of the university, was chairman, vice chairman and head of Audit committee of Islami Finance and Investment Limited. He was awarded "Deshbandhu CR Das Gold Medal". Besides, Md Azizul Islam, M Shakil Wahed and Engineer Khondker Mesbahuddin Ahmed were elected vice chairmen and Rtn Liaquat Hossain Moghul treasurer.
