Two children drown
Two children drowned in separate incidents in Thakurgaon and Jessore yesterday.
Minor girl Alo, 3, daughter of Khoirul Islam, drowned in a ditch of a house at Ambari village in Haripur upazila in Thakurgaon yesterday afternoon.
Victim's family said Alo was playing in their house at noon. Somehow she fell down into the ditch. She was found dead in it at about 3:30pm.
In Jessore, schoolboy Sadnan Sakib Toha, 6, son of Abdul Mannan, drowned in a pond in Chachra Madhyapara area in sadar upazila yesterday morning.
Mannan said Toha was playing near the pond adjacent to their house.
