Steps taken to improve portal of Comilla
In line with the government's plan to build digital Bangladesh, Comilla district administration has taken initiatives to improve the portal of Comilla that contains all information about the district and upazilas, unions under it.
The portal has a link with the National Web Portal of Bangladesh.
Attending a review meeting here yesterday, NI Khan, National Project Director of Support to Digital Bangladesh (A2I), gave suggestions on what type of inputs can be incorporated, how the quality of the portal can be improved and how people can be benefited from such a portal.
Ashfaqul Hussain, Joint Secretary, and Deputy Commissioner of Comilla District Rezaul Ahsan attended the meeting.
“A move is underway to digitise all public services of districts and upazilas to ensure people's access to government services. District web portal is part of that plan to reach public services and information at the doorsteps of the people across the country,” said NI Khan.
“We're now working for simplifying services of all government offices to ensure easy access to information for the people,” he added.
NI Khan expressed his satisfaction over the progress of the portal development.
The portal also contains elaborate information about 184 unions separately and anyone can visit these unions and upazilas for information.
