Drinking water factory fined
A mobile court fined a drinking water factory Tk 30,000 in the port city yesterday on charge of producing water in unhygienic environment and marketing it illegally.
The curt, led by Executive Magistrate Gowtam Barai, conducted a drive at Asker Dighirpar under Kotwali Police Station, said a press release.
It found M M Scientific producing water in unhygienic environment and marketing it bearing sign of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) without taking permission from the BSTI.
