Cuet students urge law enforcers
The fourth-year students of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet) yesterday demanded immediate rescue of their fellow student Arafat Rahman, who went missing after he left for Chittagong city from the campus on May 23.
They made the call at a human chain programme in front of Chittagong Press Club in the port city yesterday.
The students urged Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-7) and Detective Branch of Chittagong Metropolitan Police for immediately tracing out the missing Cuet student.
Arafat's paternal uncle Dr Moniruzzaman and brother-in-law Nazmul Hossain were present at the programme.
The students will sit with the Cuet authorities on May 30 on the matter.
The students also formed another human chain in front of the police super's office at Gate No. 2 in the city with similar demand yesterday.
