Rab impersonator held in Ctg
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-7) arrested a Rab official impersonator in Chittagong yesterday.
The arrestee was Md Sahabuddin, 29, son of Asadul Haq of Musapur village under Sandwip Police Station, said a press release.
Acting on a tip-off a team of Rab led by Lt Commander Md Nuruzzaman conducted a drive in the Chittagong city's GEC Circle area and arrested him.
Introducing himself as a Rab official major Rakib, Sahabuddin made phone call to Md Yousuf Jahangir, a resident of Shukal Bohor area, asking Yousuf to connect water, gas and power supply lines to a house of Yousuf where a relative of Sahabuddin has been residing as tenant on May 31, the press release said.
