4 killed in road accidents

Four people were killed and seven others injured in separate road accidents in Chittagong and Sirajganj yesterday. Our Chittagong correspondent reports: Rickshaw-van puller, Jahangir Alam, 30, was killed and another injured when a truck rammed the van from behind at Shershah Circle under Bayezid Police Station in the city early hours of yesterday. Injured Shah Alam, 25, was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH). In another incident, Abdul Hakim, 60, was killed and another was injured as a human-hauler hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at from behind Baluchhara under the station yesterday afternoon. Injured Abdus Salam, 55, was rushed to the CMCH. Our Sirajganj correspondent reports: Two people were killed instantly and five others injured as a coach hit a pick-up van on Bogra-Nagarbari highway at Chandaikona Bazar in Raiganj upazila yesterday afternoon. The deceased were the passengers of the pick-up van. Three of the injured, were admitted to Raiganj Upazila Health Complex while the rest two to Bogra Mohammad Ali Hospital.
