Criminals attack RMG factory
Two guards injured
Unidentified criminals attacked on a garment factory and stabbed its two security guards in the capital's Mirpur area yesterday.
Injured Md Faruk, 20, and Abdus Salam, 50, of Sintex Textile Ltd were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Quoting the victims, Officer-In-Charge of Bhasantek Police Station Abdul Momin said about six criminals tried to break into the factory building around 7:00am.
The criminals stabbed the two when they tried to resist the miscreants, the OC said.
A previous enmity between the garment owner and local criminals might be the reason behind the attack, he added.
Of the injured, Faruk's condition was stated to be critical.
