Youth stabbed to death
Unidentified miscreants stabbed a youth to death in Mijimiji area of Sadar upazila in Narayanganj early yesterday.
The victim was identified as Illias Ali, 22, son of Ismail Hossain of the same area and also an HSC student of Open University.
Police and witnesses said the miscreants called Illias out of his house and stabbed him indiscriminately around 2:00am, leaving him seriously injured.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Kamrul Alam Molla, officer-in-charge of Siddhirganj Police Station, said they detained three people, including a young girl, for interrogation in this connection.
