Two rice mills, warehouse gutted
Two rice mills and a warehouse were gutted in a fire at Chaktai in Chittagong city yesterday.
Agrabad fire service sources said the fire, originated from an electric short circuit at a rice mill in Sobahan Sawdagar Road area around 2:15am, soon spread to another adjacent rice mill and a rice warehouse.
Two fire fighting units from Lamar Bazar Fire Station rushed to the spot and doused the flame around 4:20am.
The loss caused by the fire was estimated at Tk 7 lakh.
