Criminals shoot man nine times
Unidentified criminals shot a man nine times at Tulsikhali Bus Stand of Sirajdikhan upazila in Manikganj last night.
Mohammad Mokter Hossain, 40, with nine bullets lodged in his chest, abdomen, shoulder and thigh, was rushed to National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital at Mohakhali in the capital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Mokter's wife, Shila Akhter, said her husband was a reporter of a weekly magazine, Bikrampur Sangbad, and son of late Aynal Haque of Goalkhali village of the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Sirajdikhan Police Station, Mahbubur Rahman, said Mokter was an accused in a case filed with the police station.
