Housewife 'kills herself' in Ctg
A housewife allegedly committed suicide at her residence on Nasu Malum Lane at East Madarbari in Chittagong city yesterday.
The deceased was Maksuda Begum, 30, hailed from Muradnagar in Comilla.
Police arrested her husband Mohammad Mainuddin, a garment worker, in this connection
Quoting family members, police said Maksuda hanged herself from the kitchen ceiling of her residence around dawn time when her husband and in-laws were asleep.
She had been quarrelling with Mainuddin over his affair with a female garment worker, police quoted.
Getting information from locals, police went to the spot and found the body lying on the ground, said police.
Police sent the body to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
An unnatural death case was filed with Double-Mooring Police Station in this regard.
