Newborn's body recovered
Police recovered the body of a newborn baby at Cheragi Pahar intersection in Chittagong city yesterday morning.
Kotwali Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Alamgir said they recovered the body from a bag in a drain beside a building around 10:00am.
Police suspected someone might leave the baby to avoid responsibility of its birth, the SI added.
The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
