A ceremony marking the adorning of rank badge of new Army Chief General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan was held at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) yesterday. Navy Chief Vice Admiral Z U Ahmed and Air Chief Air Marshal Muhammad Inamul Bari adorned the new army chief with the rank badge of general in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. After the function, PM's press secretary Abul Kalam Azad said that Sheikh Hasina congratulated the new army chief. She also mentioned various steps of her government for the development of the country's armed forces. Advisers to the Prime Minister HT Imam and Maj Gen (retd) Tariq Ahmed Siddique were, among others, present at the ceremony.
