Supplementary charge sheet against nine submitted
Police submitted supplementary charge sheet against nine people in connection with the murder of two Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sust) students on December 16 last year.
Hearing on the charge sheet will be held on July 1, the judicial magistrate ordered on Monday.
The accused are boatman Gulzar Miah, Soil Miah, Shaheen Ahmed, Lal Miah, Sayeem Miah, Jalal Miah, Rakib Ahmed, Abdullah and Selim Ahmed.
Sub-Inspector of Jalalabad Police Station Abdul Latif filed the supplementary charge sheet.
Local fishermen on December 17 found the bodies of SUST students Khairul Kabir and Dipankar Ghosh Anik floating in Chenger Khal (canal) at Putimara under Sadar upazila, some four kilometres off the campus.
Police on March 5 pressed charges against the nine.
