Death anniversary
Today is the first death anniversary of Shafiur Rahman, a pioneer of the movement to promote classical music in the country. To pay tribute to his memories, a discussion meeting followed by a performance of songs will be held tomorrow at 6:00pm at the Pathchakra room of Bishwa Shahitto Kendro. Founding general secretary of the 'Shuddha Sangeet Proshar Goshthi', Shafiur Rahman dedicated his life to the cause of classical music.
