7 die in road accidents
Seven people were killed in road accidents in Dhaka, Jhenidah, Narsingdi and Chapainawabganj yesterday.
Our staff correspondent reports, two people were killed in two road accidents in the capital's Shahjahanpur and Badda areas yesterday.
In an incident, a factory labourer Nesar Ali, 24, was killed as his head hit a roadside pillar in Rajarbagh area of Shahjahanpur.
Witnesses said the accident occurred around 12:30pm when Nesar was traveling by a bus of Labbayek Paribahan keeping his head outside of the bus's window.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead.
In another accident, an unidentified woman was killed as a private car hit her while she was crossing a road in Badda area around 9:30am.

Our Jhenidah correspondent reports, two motorcyclists were killed in an accident in Bishoykhali Bazar area in Jhenidah sadar upazila early yesterday.
The deceased were Milon Biwas, 22, and Shadhinur Rahman, 17.
Police said the accident occurred when a bus hit their motorcycle killing them on the spot around 10:30am.
Police sent the bodies to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue.
In another incident, two motorcyclists were killed when a truck rammed into their bike on Narsingdi-Tongi road at Ghorashal in Polash upazila yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased were Mobarok, 45, and his friend Ringku, 42, of Belabo village under Sadar upazila.
Police said the accident occurred around 5:00pm when a Narsingdi-bound truck hit the motorbike killing Mobarok on the spot and injuring Ringku seriously.
Ringku was rushed to Ghorashal Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sadar hospital morgue.
Our Chapainawabganj correspondent reports, a girl was crushed under a tractor on Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid highway in Academy Intersection area of Shibganj upazila in the district yesterday.
The deceased was Nazneen Akhtar, 4, daughter of Harun-ur-Rashid of Dewanjaigir area in the upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when Nazneen was crossing the road with her sister around 11:00am.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Shibganj Sadar Hospital morgue.
