Robi-Drishty debate contest ends in Ctg

The nine-day long national debate competition 'Robi-Drishty National Debate Contest' concluded in Chittagong city yesterday. Chittagong Collegiate School, Mohsin College and Jahangirnagar University have won the contest at school, college and university levels respectively. Twelve schools and 10 colleges of the port city and 24 private and public universities of the country participated in the competition, which started on June 22. Nasir Uddin of North South University and Moitry of Jahangirnagar University were adjudged best speakers at university level and Anupom Debashish Roy and Rishikesh Chowdhury won the best speaker's title at school and college levels respectively. Prior to the prize giving ceremony a discussion was held, which was attended by Dr Anupom Sen, veteran social scientist and vice-chancellor (VC) of Premier University, as chief guest and Prof Syed Ahsanul Alam Parvej , chairman of marketing department of Chittagong University, and Sajid Iqbal, general manager of Business and Sales Service of Robi, as special guests.
