Court reporters' assoc gets new committee

Advocate Ashraf-Ul Alam of the daily Kaler Kantha and Advocate Anwarul Kabir Babul of the daily Jugantor have been elected the president and general secretary respectively of the Court Reporters' Association (CRA) for the period 2012-2013, said a press release yesterday. Other newly elected office bearers of CRA were its Vice President Abul Kalam Azad (Ittefaq), Treasurer Raihan Morshed (Sangram), Assistant General Secretary Prashanta Kumar Karmakar (Prothom Alo) and Office and Publicity Secretary Moniruzzaman Hawlader (Ittefaq). The new executive committee members of CRA are Chaitanya Chandra Halder (The Daily Star), Belal Hossain Jasim (Amar Desh) and Moshihur Rahman (Destiny). Advocate Munzur Alam (The Independent) has been elected adviser to the association unanimously. Advocates Mohammad Ali Hossain and AKM Rezaul Karim Hiron conducted the election at the CRA office on Thursday.
