RU staff crushed under train
An assistant registrar of Rajshahi University's central library was crushed under the wheels of a train at Dimtala in the city yesterday morning.
Officer-in-charge of Matihar Police Station Anisur Rahman said a team of patrol police found the decapitated body of Chowdhury Mostafa Majid, 40, also a resident of Meherchandi area, at about 8:30am on the rail track.
Locals said Majid had long been suffering from mental illness.
A UD case was filed in this connection.
