Two killed by lightning
Two men were killed by lightning in two separate incidents in Patgram and Hatibandha upazilas yesterday.
In Patgram, Rashidul Islam, 28, son of late Kachuya Shaikh of Dangarbari village, was killed instantly as he was hit by a thunderbolt while he was catching fish from a canal near his home around 3:00pm, said police.
In Hatibandha, lightning struck Aminul Islam, 38, son of Kashem Ali of Kashimbazar village, while he was returning home from a local market at around 4:00pm, killing him on the spot.
